We offer five main ranges:

• Acoustic Panels – wood slat panels on a felt backing, available in 2400mm, 2800mm and 3000mm lengths.
• Fluted Panels – premium real wood veneer over a refined MDF core, available in 2800mm lengths.
• Interlock Panels – bamboo wood fibre composite panels with a tongue-and-groove system for a seamless finish, available in 2200mm lengths.
• Outdoor Panels – durable exterior cladding, available in 2200mm and 2900mm lengths.
• Stone Panels – ultra-thin, lightweight natural stone veneers in Medium (2700 × 605mm) and Large (2700 × 1220mm) sizes.

Two of our ranges are suitable for exterior use:

• Outdoor Panels: water resistant, UV-stable, fire-rated WPC (wood-plastic composite) cladding for exterior walls, fences, pool areas and ceilings, in 2200mm and 2900mm lengths. A Surlyn coating and double-overlap join make them fade resistant and low maintenance, and they can even be pressure washed.
• Stone Panels: natural stone veneers suitable for both interior and exterior walls. Outdoors, seal them with a water-based sealer (5–6 coats, reapplied every 2–3 years).

Our Acoustic, Fluted and Interlock panels are for indoor use only.

Covered outdoor areas

We don't recommend Acoustic Panels on covered outdoor areas, such as an outdoor deck ceiling. Even out of the sun and rain, they'll be exposed to moisture and humidity. Use our Outdoor Panels instead, which can also be installed on ceilings.

Bathrooms and wet areas

Acoustic Panels aren't waterproof and shouldn't be used in bathrooms or wet areas. Stone Panels (sealed) and Outdoor Panels are suitable for these spaces.

Yes. Our Stone Panels are ultra-thin, lightweight and flexible natural stone veneers, so they can be wrapped around curved walls.

• Bending radius: the sheets can be bent to a minimum radius of 360mm along their length. Bending across the width isn't recommended.
• Pillars: a pillar therefore needs a diameter of at least 720mm (twice the minimum bend radius). Larger sheets need a larger diameter.
• Tighter curves: the sheets become more pliable if you gently heat the fibreglass resin backing with a heat gun.

We stock a range of accessories to complete your project:

• Finishing slats for acoustic panels, in 2400mm, 2800mm and 3000mm lengths.
• LED lighting kits for acoustic panels, in warm white and colour, plus dimming remote controls.
• Hooks, shelves and panel covers designed to fit our acoustic panels.
• Corner trim for Interlock panels (2200mm).
• Outdoor panel trims: Cover Panel (to cap the top, bottom or edges), aluminium Edge Banding, and Corner Banding for external corners.

We don't supply capping, edging or corner pieces for the indoor acoustic range. Use finishing slats on open ends instead.

Shipping: finishing slats and end pieces can't be shipped separately from panels without high shipping costs, so order them together.

Our LED lighting kits are designed for our acoustic panels and are an easy DIY install. They're a plug-and-play kit that plugs into any standard powerpoint, so no electrician is needed for the kit itself.

• Cutting to length: the LED strips can be cut every 50mm.
• Hardwiring: a licensed electrician can wire the lights into a switch if you prefer, but please note the kits are designed as plug-and-play.
• Remote: the Warm White dimming remote takes a CR2032 button battery (not included). Button batteries can cause severe injury if swallowed: keep remotes and batteries out of reach of children, and call the Poisons Information Centre on 13 11 26 immediately if one is swallowed.

It depends on the range:

• Fluted Panels: yes. They come pre-primed and can be painted to suit your space.
• Standard panels: no. They're designed with a finished surface and can't be painted.

Our Acoustic Panels come in standard sizes: 2400 × 600mm, 2800 × 600mm and, in selected colours, 3000 × 600mm.

We don't offer custom sizes for standard orders, but the panels are designed to be easily cut if you need smaller sections, or joined to cover larger areas.

Large projects: we can custom order panels up to 3600mm long, depending on your timeline and the number of panels you need. Request a quote to discuss your project.

Our acoustic panels have been independently tested for sound absorption and achieve a Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) of 0.85.

NRC is a laboratory rating from 0 to 1 that averages how much sound energy a surface absorbs across the main speech frequencies, measured with the panel mounted on a solid backing. The higher the number, the more sound the panel absorbs rather than reflects.

In practice this means the panels are highly effective at reducing echo and reverberation within a room, making homes, offices, meeting rooms and restaurants sound quieter and more comfortable. They are not a soundproofing product: they don't stop noise travelling between rooms or through walls.

Yes. Sustainability guides how we source and make our products.

Acoustic Panels

• Wood slats certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), for responsible sourcing and production.
• Acoustic felt backing made from recycled material.
• Mould resistant, with added heat insulation.

Stone Panels

• At only a few millimetres thick, our stone veneers use far less natural stone than traditional stone tiles, slabs or stacked stone.
• Their light weight cuts transport emissions, both from the factory and to your door.
• Formaldehyde-free.

Every heater and fireplace has minimum clearances to combustible and non-combustible materials, set by the heater manufacturer and by AS/NZS 2918 (domestic solid fuel burning appliances). Always check those clearances first and follow them.

• Acoustic Panels: these have an MDF core and felt backing, so they are a combustible wall finish. They can be used in the room with a freestanding fireplace, but only outside the heater's required clearance to combustibles.
• Stone Panels: natural stone veneer on a resin backing, rated for surface temperatures from -50°C to +95°C. They can be used around a fireplace surround where the surface temperature stays within that range and the manufacturer's clearances are met. Use T-Rex Floor & Wall adhesive.
• Gas log fires: suitability depends on the appliance. Please call us on 1300 734 484 before you order and we'll talk you through the right option.

Yes, and we recommend it. Sample boxes let you see and feel the colours, textures and quality before committing to your project.

Yes. Our panels are designed for DIY installation. We supply the panels only and don't offer an installation service, but every product comes with installation guidance.

Acoustic panels are semi-rigid, lightweight and flexible, which makes them easy to install yourself.

Fixing

• Adhesive: apply Hybrid Grab Adhesive or Liquid Nails (or a similar high-grab adhesive) to the back of each panel and press it firmly onto the wall.
• Screws: fix 35mm × 3.5mm black screws directly through the felt backing.

Might you remove them later? Use screws instead of adhesive, so the panels can come off without damaging your plasterboard.

Surfaces

You can mount the panels on almost any surface, including brick (inside brick walls), concrete and plasterboard.

Ceilings

Yes, acoustic panels can go on ceilings. Fix them with screws into joists or other structural points. Adhesive can be used in addition to screws, but not on its own overhead.

Cutting

• Across the width: use a fine-toothed handsaw.
• Lengthwise: slice the felt vertically with a sharp utility knife.

Finishing the edges

Finish open ends with our Finishing Slats. On external corners you can butt the panels together or use a black aluminium edge. We don't supply capping, edging or corner pieces for the indoor acoustic range.

They're made from durable bamboo wood fibre composite, giving the natural look of timber with low maintenance.

Delaco Panels® doesn't offer an installation service, but we can refer you to independent installers in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Sydney, Northern NSW, Illawarra and the South Coast, Melbourne, Canberra, Adelaide, Perth, Hobart and Townsville.

Some jobs need a specialist, for example concealing a door behind panels so it still opens with no obvious gap. For these, we recommend an experienced carpenter.

Please note: these installers are not employed by Delaco Panels. We supply the panels only and are not responsible for installation work. This includes replacing panels broken during installation or fixing installation issues. Please contact your chosen installer directly about any installation concerns.

All our panels are low maintenance. Here's how to care for each range.

Acoustic Panels

They collect very little dust. If needed, simply run a duster over them. They're designed to handle high-traffic areas such as offices, lobbies and restaurants.

Outdoor Panels

No sealing or other treatments are needed. Just wash them as needed. You can even pressure wash them.

Stone Panels

Seal all stone types with a water-based sealer. This helps prevent stains, moisture absorption and algae and moss growth, and enhances colour and shine.

For maximum protection against oil-based stains, for example in kitchens, apply an extra protective coating.

Yes. We ship Australia-wide from our warehouses in Brisbane and Sydney.

Delivery times

• Allow up to 2 business days for us to prepare your order (48 hours after payment is received).
• Panels and accessories then take 3–7 business days to metro areas. Regional areas may take longer.
• Stone Panels take 4–10 days for delivery Australia-wide.

Local pick-up

Free local pick-up is available for select stock from our Brisbane and Sydney warehouses. Please allow 48 hours after payment for us to prepare your order or transfer stock. We can't guarantee stock availability until the order is paid.

Outdoor Panels

Outdoor Panels are big and bulky, so larger orders and regional deliveries are custom quoted. Request a quote or email sales@delacopanels.com.au.

Local delivery: Brisbane and Sydney

Accessories: finishing slats and end pieces can't be shipped separately from panels without high shipping costs, so order them together with your panels.

Free pick-up of select stock is available from our Brisbane and Sydney warehouses.

Our deliveries are made by external freight companies. Here's what to expect:

• Notification: you'll receive a notification about your delivery.
• Delivery window: between 9am and 5pm, within 3–7 business days.
• Kerbside, hand unload: deliveries are kerbside and hand-unloaded unless specially arranged. Drivers don't carry panels upstairs or into lifts.
• Safe drop: if you're not home, the driver can leave your order in a safe place such as reception or just inside your garage, but only with your permission. Let us know when you order if you authorise a safe drop.
• No installation advice: delivery drivers don't provide installation guides or advice. See our Installation Guides instead.

Large orders

Bigger orders may arrive on a pallet or crate. Smaller pallets can be broken down and hand-unloaded. For larger orders without a forklift on site, contact us before ordering so we can arrange the right unloading option.

Pallets and packaging

We don't run a pallet exchange or pick-up program. Pallets and packaging are part of the delivery. If you can't reuse the pallets, some Bunnings stores accept second-hand pallets, so check with your nearest store.

Australian Consumer Law: Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

All of our panels come with a warranty against defects:

Australian Consumer Law: Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. The warranty periods above are in addition to these rights.
